Ranexe stepped through her door. From what she had read this certainly was a labyrinth, but she had never seen one in person, with where she lived and such, and certainly not one so awe-inspiring. Her mind still not working on the current moment full-power made it hard for her to think at all not to mention the added difficulty when she entered the labyrinth and was hit with her amazement. "So then," her voice starting to gain a bit of it's usual force but more from the distraction, when she resumed it was softer and more soulless then before, "This is a labyrinth, that means we'll have to traverse it trying to find a center, I feel a magic string would be useless. It's really just a mush larger maze." She put her hand to the wall and stated to walk forward her mind on other things so she didn't notice when the wall she had been leaning on dissipated. She go up and brushed herself off then continued on still only half there.

"So, should we just follow you, or try to each find our own ways?" Ehntrix asked, while Elixean had already started blazing her own trail.

"well it seems to late to put option 1 at full force. Follow me if you wish, but otherwise remember not to take things for granted." She didn't think it would matter. She had a strong feeling they'd meet each other again soon.

"In that case, I'll just go that way," he said, pointing in a direction roughly halfway between the directions the other two were going, which happened to have a wall there "after all, if I don't have to take things for granted, there might not be a wall there." he said, smirking, and extremely surprised when the wall turned out to be fake or illusionary, take your pick.

((just a note since you haven't seen the movie... the first wall was displayed as looking as if it had no openings but really the wall behind appear to be there... XP It's really Escher stuff...))
Ranexe shrugged and continued on her way, being careful to keep a hand to the wall least she miss an opening. There were a couple time where she though she'd gotten turned around. "Gotta stay calm. That's the only way I'll ever save Devioux."

((I've seen the movie, it's just been a while.))
After a while, Ehntrix questioned himself about leaving everyone else, it seemed stupid at that point, because they had no way of communication with each other.

((Devy!Spam post. Well... sorta. I guess I'll just keep updating meh topic by mehself, mew? Anyways... Jareth's plotting... XD Which means fangirls squee~ Devy!Comment: Y'know... if everything happened EACTLY the way it did in the movie/ book/ game/ whatnot, wouldn't that be kinda... predictable, mew? *Smacks herself for using peaches* I couldn't come up with anything else, though. Peaches generally symbolize "sweet seduction in the form of a magic spell" to me... *Ignores OOC Devioux's Edgeworth-styled "OBJECTION!"* That'd be a messed up fandom to create... XD))

((*Giggles madly* It's probably called something along the lines of, "Devy has been working with too many Advanced roleplayers and editing her friend's fanfics for her own good." XD To put it in a more comprehensible light, it is really me criticizing myself and authors who create original characters in established fandoms: generally, the same general plot is followed, certain things are occasionally expanded upon, but the plot and general events usually remain exactly the same as the original work. In The Labyrinth, Sarah fell asleep due to an enchanted peach. My character, Devioux, did much the same. I included a ball scene, much like what happened in the movie. Epic!Phail on my part, really, though I feel too lazy at the moment to change it. When I start to really roleplay (and drop the weird writing style I've adopted for this site), I'll probably change it to something more original. If you've played any of the Phoenix Wright games (which I HIGHLY recommend, since they are intellectually-stimulating and simply FUN to play), you'll know who Edgeworth, everyone's favourite pink-and-lace-wearing prosecutor is. ) It's the series that is known for all the "OBJECTION!" quotes. Since it's situated in a court room (all the characters are lawyers), one generally objects to whatever the witness/ opposing attorney says. When my character (who was acting out of her usual character/ the events currently taking place) voiced her opinion, it was to my definition of a peach's symbolism. Evidently, she doesn't approve. XD ))

((Hyuu~ But Devy HATES being concise in places that aren't her Lit-class submissions~ XD))
As effortless as a sigh, he appeared, stepping out of a rock formation that bore a striking resemblance to his own handsome features. Traveling between locations had never been of issue, though in the Mortal Realm where She resided, he was limited to the form of a delicately powerful predator, a creature at home in the inky shadows of the night: an owl. Here in his realm, his domain, anything and everything was possible. That loud-mouthed female's so-called logic and rules did not apply here, the rules the Outsiders had clung to in desperation decreed null and void by his power alone. Of course, when one took the time to analyze it closely, it really wasn't by his might alone, per se, but rather, the combined efforts of his strength and the world itself. The Labyrinth was such that anyone with strong magical powers could manipulate it into whatever form they wanted, though sheer willpower alone was generally enough to influence it (or at least the denizens of his realm) to help or hinder the questing individuals. His world was a strange one, where dreams and thoughts and imagination were closely tied to reality; if one wished for something hard enough, it would come true in one shape or another. That was how his magic worked and the center of his world was structured; it was little more than the deranged inner workings of a child's fantasy-turned-reality. [1]
Though he seemingly stepped from around a corner, directly into the way of a male child with odd green hair and shockingly bright blue eyes, had he appeared to the side of the cobblestone path, his commanding presence would have drawn the other's attention, of that he was certain. [2] The child, while not the leader of their group, seemed equally determined to get his comrade back, and eager to forge his own path. Jareth wondered to himself if the cloaked group realized that their strong optimism was only creating more and more twists, turns, and circles, as if the Labyrinth itself was trying to crush their spirits--which was how it was designed in all actuality. "Don't get discouraged, now, boy," he said, sarcasm all but physically dripping from his smirking face. "You may yet reunite with your comrades, somehow, someway, whether in life or in death, though you all are scattered like dust upon the wind's breath. Then again, the reverse is always true. For as long as this Labyrinth has been in place, only one special person has been able to defeat me where hundreds, if not thousands, have failed." He hoped that his emphasis on the world "special" made his opinion of the (foolish) black-cloaked group clear when compared to Her.
While he spoke, one of his orbs materialized in his hands, and with a complex whirl and deft twist of his fingers, lifted itself in the air and floated in the general direction of the blonde-haired girl with royal blue eyes, the one that female had stated was the leader of their troupe. She had a surprise in store for her, should she take his bait.
To the regret-filled girl whose determination was almost parallel to Hers, he sent an illusionary fog. The mist itself was real, but the images that would appear, should the one caught gaze about, were little more than phantoms, phantoms of the thing that the individual regretted the most in their life or wished for the most. That was what would appear, then mutate into a twisted conglomeration of their worst nightmares, their fears. On Her, he had not had the chance to use it (as he kept telling himself, since... at the time She had arrived, he had felt it too cruel to subject such a sweet, admirably strong-willed, enchanting--he had to stop his train of thought before they became inappropriate for the current situation). Memories (or were they just hidden fantasies?) of that lowlife spawn of a human female could wait until he was safely alone, where... She really wasn't any of those things... not in least... [3]
(( [1] Aside from all of my comments about my interpretations of ToS through Devioux and Jareth's conversations in my other topic, I'm also referring to my interpretations of The Labyrinth movie through Jareth's explanations of his world. I kinda got the feeling that the whole realm was really all a part of Sarah's imagination, more similar to how Dorothy (from The Wizard of Oz) envisioned her uncles (familiar faces) as the scarecrow, lion, tin man, wicked witch of the west, etc. in her "dream". I swear that almost every character that pops up in The Labyrinth is visible somewhere/ sometime in Sarah's room. I mean, that could be used to symbolize how Jareth's influence stretches far beyond normal conceptions, blah, blah, blah, insert fangirl-written fanfiction here. XD Just in case things got kinda "non-cannon" and objectionable.
[2] See what I mean? XD
[3]Insert a giant "Awwww" from the audience here. XD This is pretty much the only post where I'll place a ton of footnotes, but it's certainly fun.))

It wasn't long until that which Jareth had sent reached Ranexe, and it hit her hard. The first thing she saw were memories that would make anyone else like her extremely happy now where hollowed empty shells that only brought her as much pain as she could feel. the first one, her impression, hit her so hard she feel to the ground in recoil. As she lay there more scenes played. Finally she stood up and walked forwards, her eyes closed, tears streaming down her face, destroying the last image she had seen: Azylth, still there, waiting for her. She tried to tell herself that she wasn't running away, but inside she knew she was and there was no avoiding it. Soon she was once again on her knees her tears, and the mist reminded her of the feelings of loneliness that she kept hidden, tried to withhold under the premise that she didn't have feelings. Whether she did or not one thing was certain she was alone. At least that's what the mist had her thinking, she had forgotten the bronze wight on her shoulders how was trying to break through to his beloved impresse. He was disturbed by her sadness seeping through the mental link. unable to reach her he set his mind on finding someone who would. He though about looking for the other girl he knew, the one who wasn't in danger, as said his partner, but she was angry, and it wasn't in her character as he knew her anyways. So he searched for the green haired one. The only male amongst them, and with his thoughts set on him and helping Ranexe he went between to his target.

(I'm just a little confused on what's supposed to be happening right now, all I can understand is that someone just had a mental breakdown, but I don't know who. Can anyone summarize for me?)
