Elaine gasped for breath, air flooding into her lungs. She was dripping water, brushing droplets out of her eyes, as she shot straight from the water onto a small island a fourth of a mile away from the main isle. She jumped at a tree, but a gelatin-like hand grasped her ankle, pulling her back to the ground. She screamed for help, but it seemed no one could hear; Nobodies, only Dusks, pinned her down, their hisses stinging her face. |

All of a sudden, a figure wearing a black coat dropped out of the sky, keyblade in hand, and destroyed the many Nobodies.
The Keyblade looked to be made from memories. The being had the hood of his coat up, covering his face. "Long time no see Elaine." He said, looking back at her.

Elixean blinked her gorgeous cobalt eyes, and she stood from the ground slowly, hesitantly, brushing off her shoulders. "Xemichal?" she guessed hesitantly.

Elaine sort of narrowed her eyes. "I knew that. I'm not dumb." She jumped at the tree she'd first aimed for, sitting on a tall crook in the upper trunk. "Why'd he bring you?"

Michael bit his upper lip. "Two reasons, one, to see you and possibly bring you with us, and two," He held out his hand and summoned his Keyblade, "this world still needs to be locked."

Elaine shook her head fiercely, a type of ferocity likely forgotten by Michael, and her eyes blazed. "No. You can't lock this world. And I'm not coming with you. I'm happy where I am, and you can't do anything to this world." If she'd been a wolf, she'd have been bristling. "It isn't your world. It's my home. You have no right to change it!"

"If I don't lock it, the Heartless could come back and destroy it again!" He shook his head fiercely, a fierceness not seen by Elaine before then, "Besides, I lived here for over ten years!"
