Michael sighed as he hefted his Keyblade up the steps leading to Merlin's house. The King walked ahead of him with a quickness in his step. They were on thier way to see Merlin about the dillemma of Elaine not allowing Michael to lock Butterfly Cavern.

"I'm not certain what you expect to be done," a strange new voice commented from the shadows. But still, this voice was not as strange as an honest new voice. In fact, this was a strange creature, two strange creatures, from long ago. The black cat with red eyes and the white cat with blue eyes trotted forward, their tails twined, and a gray cat with purple eyes followed; this one was the one that spoke.
"Females, namely human females, and one with such a resolute nature as your female, tend to be adamant in their choices, and to go behind her and lock the world would be suicide to your relationship," the cat concluded. "So what is it that you can discuss?"

Michael seemed taken aback by these strange cats. "Um... I want to speak to Merlin about what we can do now that Elaine made her choices."

"I am not certain what you expect to be done," the gray cat murmured again. His tail flicked, and he rumbled, "There is nothing you can do. She is correct; it is no longer your island. It's her home. And, as a law of the Worlds, she has the right to govern her World."

Michael laughed for a split second. "It is not just her world is it? And what of my world?"

"In fact, it is her world," the cat replied, its gaze turning inquisitive. "It was her birth that brought the Butterflies to Butterfly Cavern. Therefore, the island is what it is because she was created into the world. And your world?" The cat scoffed, then replied, "You have no world. It only happened that you came to her world to spend time there. Then your journey came about, and the island was only to be considered hers."

MIchael burst out crying. "I have no place to call home?" He stared at the Keyblade and threw it at the cat's. "It's all that things fault!!"

"It's your burden to bear," the gray cat replied to Xemichal calmly as the Keyblade returned to its owner's grasp.

The cat snarled darkly, "Then accept darkness. The Keyblade won't be yours if you haven't the heart to keep it." With that, the three cats blended into one, a nearly translucent figure with shadow illuminating its outline; it was almost as large at Furor. A rider was on its back.
"If you don't want that blade, give it here," the man on top of the shadow-rimmed called softly to Michael. It was Xenethan; his jet black hair lay rather nicely smoothed onto one side. He looked like a clean-cut Zexion. "I could take very good care of it."

Michael instantly recognized the boy Elaine and Michael had gone to school with. "Ethan?" He asked darkly. He gripped his Keyblade tightly and prepared to fight.

Xenethan pulled on the reigns of his Shadow-Rimmed, replying bitterly, "I was only going to grant your hope. But I guess you want to carry that burden your entire life." His own blade, twin Oblivions, but only Oblivion replicas, appeared, and Xenethan spat, "I'll make this easy for you; if you go down without a fight, you can roam that Afterlife without having to carry that little toy of yours." Xenethan shrugged. "I never asked you to." He glared at Michael. "Make a choice. Give it up and live the life you always wanted or I'll give you hell and take it." |

"I'd rather give up my heart to the Heartless!" With that, he rushed at the Beast and its master with his Keyblade, trying to stab the beast Xenethan was riding.
