Ranexe appeared out of her portal then stood back and wited for her tag along to do the same.

Devioux appeared, landing on her rear end with a whine. "Imma gonna get you for this, you stinkin' portals!" she shouted over her shoulder as the 'Mystical Oval of DOOM' vanished behind her. Her turquoise eyes were as wide as saucers, taking in the scenery hungrily. "YAY! I'M FINALLY IN PORT ROYAL! Thankies, Ranexe-senpai!"

"You're welcome. Now did you want to do anything here other then enjoy the beach? Because I'm going to observe terran ships while I'm here."

A devilish grin crossed her features for a moment before returning to the broad grin that she usually wore. "There was this one place I wanted to see, though the only way to get there is to track down a guy by the name of Captain Jack Sparrow. Unless you happen to already know the location of a place called Isla de Muerta, sempai."

"I know the location of one of those objects. I just need a bit of rum..."

Her eyes went wide. "Amazing! Ranexe-sempai is simply amazing! Now where to find rum..." She looked about, her eyes squinting for any signs of a tavern or swaggering pirate that might point the way to one.

Ranexe yawned. Let's she if I've read enough about this place. she then pointed in the direction of what she thought was a tavern. Indeed it was she entered and awaited Devious to follow.

Devioux sprinted after her teammate? co-worker (did this even constitute as a job to begin with)? superior? with as much speed and energy as the electricity she controlled. The thick doors flew open with a loud thunk! and when about half of the gruff men turned to see what the commotion was, she returned their perplexed stares with a cheeky grin and wave. Deciding that no matter how effective simply grabbing the nearest tankard of liquid would be in terms of locating rum, a bar fight was not something she needed at the moment. She settled on loudly asking for some of the beverage at the counter and plopped herself on a moderately uncomfortable chair in the middle of the bustling tavern, her gaze travelling rapidly from each individual around her. It was comforting to have so many people around, even if the air was heavy and thick with smoke and alcohol, the nasty stuff. Devioux waved wildly for Ranexe to join her at the small, rounded table, her mind already forming ideas of what she could doodle onto the wood at her fingertips.

Embarrassed, Ranexe sighed. She paid for the drink and brought it over to the table. "So what's you idea?" She was not in the best of moods and thus was easily agitated. Something extremely unusual. She noticed how Devioux was eying the wood of the table. "You use that lighting of yours in a highly crowded place like this and... And.. I'm not what I'll do with you. Just try and lay low. Sparrow helped Sora, against Luxord. He might recognize the coat. And I don't want to get into a fight with a man with a gun. Swords aren't good for that."

"Aww," she pouted petulantly and stuck out her tongue. "It wouldn't be anything major of course... these tables are just too bland for my tastes..." Her fingertip, which had started to shine with miniature bolts of lightning, dropped to the table limply next to the tall mug of rum. She took a sip of the amber liquid, nearly spat it into the nearest drunken pirate's face, and finally decided on swallowing, her disgust evident. "Bleh. Simply bleh. How can these peoples enjoy it, Ranexe-sempai?" Devioux placed a thin, ungloved finger to her lips, tapping it as she thought. "'What my idea is'.... hmmm... the beach was a lot of fun," she nodded to herself, "and since we now have the means of finding Mr. Pirate... let's see... well, I'm pretty sure that I forgot what I was after to begin with, now that I'm trying to recall it." Cue wide grin. "The mind works in strange, strange ways, Ranexe-sempai..." she trailed off dreamily with a small giggle. Propping her elbows onto the table, she cupped her hands and promptly rested her chin on it. Her eyelids relaxed and dropped to a half-closed position as she asked, "Will falling asleep on the floor equate laying low, sempai?" The small, minuscule part of her mind that Remembered and acted eighteen questioned something important, but it was soon pushed to the back of her mind by the endless bubbly sparks of ideas from her Imagination.

"Literally, yes. But not in the way I mean it. As for you question on how people enjoy it, I have no clue. We it wine I could understand, although here, I doubt it would be near as good as in benden." Her sentence was ended with a sigh. "I think it's best we get out of here." grabbed the tankard and simply sauntered to the door Today was just one of those days where she wasn't to be messed with, bu unfortunately Devioux couldn't see that or could she? It didn't matter. She was getting on Ranexe's nerves and was likely risking her life because of it.

Grabbing the tankard that was placed in front of her, Devioux quickly rose and made towards the exit of the tavern. She couldn't resist voicing her opinion of the tavern's most prized drink on the way out, either. Nonetheless, she flashed the occupants a quick smile and twiddled her fingers as a wave, her silver earrings glinting in the flickering light.
It was fun trying to annoy her superior, especially when the younger girl had such a quick temper, at least when compared to the other half-elves she had been stuck with in that dank and musty cellar. They were a scholarly bunch, eternally patient and happy to bury themselves into their research and tomes, the lucky devils. Once she stepped outside, however, the tangy smell of salt served to push all other thoughts out of her head. Such a nice, calm place this was. And the beach was gloomy and eerie, just the way she liked it.
Her eyes swept the place for any signs of human life and she sighed when the only stray movements were from a mournful little cat digging through a pile of rubbish in an alleyway. "Do you see anyone, Ranexe-sempai? I can't see squat for all of this silly mist, 'cept that poor kitty-cat over there and that shadowy figure in the distance."

Ranexe gritted her teeth. "That was a bit much." She said referring to Devioux's comment. "You know it's times like these where I wish goblins would take you away or something. But that'll never happen right Devioux?" Her mood having improved with that on sentence she awaited the usual quarky response. When it didn't come she turned around to see what had caught her cohorts attention, but the girl wasn't there. "DEVIOUX?" She called out think the girl might have wandered off. there was no sign of the girl, but she did notice a barn owl on the dock post closest to the shore. "Odd I didn't think there were barn owls in Port Royal. She said as she approached the creature. It flew behind her and she could see a shadow growing to that of man who then said. "You won't find the girl here." Ranexe turned around in alarm. The man in-front of her was tall with wild blond hair, and seemed to be dressed in darkness itself. "Wh-h-ho are you?" "Does it matter?" 'No I guess not, but you better give Devioux back this second.' "What's said is said, you asked for her to be taken away, and I took her." "I didn't mean it!' "Oh is that so? Well then, I'll allow you time to gather your forces, we'll discuss this further on my world." "Why you!" Ranexe yelled, but he was already gone. She opened a portal to the castle to tell the others.
