((Wasn't too sure of where I could put this, sooooooooooo... yeah. ^.^""")) I am ever so grateful to Ranexe, who was kind enough to invite me over to this site! ^.^ Let's see.... Th'name's Devioux (since I utterly phail at naming places and/ or characters), though on other sites, I usually go by Devious_Bookworm, or Devy for short! As a person, I'm known to be random and extraordinarily over dramatic. I play field hockey, the upright bass, I sing, I read, write (both original stories and fanfiction), and I'm a general fruitcake (which I do NOT like). XD My favorite bands are (but certainly not limited to): Linkin Park, Within Temptation, 20 Seconds to Mars, Nickleback, and a bunch of others. I generally like Rock, Metal, and CLASSICAL music, but I still like some (usually older) Pop songs. And J-Pop. ^.^ My favorite animes and mangas are many, though my top ten are probably Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicles, Fairy Tail, Vampire Knight, Spirited Away, Skip Beat, Rurouni Kenshin, YuYu Hakusho, Death Note, Naruto (though all of my favorite characters have been killed off >.>), Inuyasha, and Fullmetal Alchemist. Whoops. That was eleven. And I'm supposed to be in Adv. Pre-Calc. ^.^""" I loooooooove RPGs and I've played many of them. I'm an avid Pokemon, Tales of Symphonia, Baten Kaitos, Kingdom Hearts, and Final Fantasy fan. I've played Fire Emblem 7-10 and Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker. As a writer, I have issues with grammar, fight scenes, and I am never satisfied with my usually inadequate descriptions. And emotion. In general, I like to abuse the English language. YAYS!

What are the names for Fire Emblems 7-10? Are they all the ones released for North America?

Mmmmm.... yep. I'm pretty sure they were all released in North America. I played the Japanese version of FE 7 (it was the one with Eliwood, Lyn, LUCIUS, and Raven), so I'm not too sure of it's English name... FE 8 is Sacred Stones (with Ephriam and Erika and Colm and Joshy-poo), while FE 9 and 10 are the ones with Ikey-poo, SOREN, Oscar, and Reyson (Path of Radiance and Radiant Dawn respectively). *Grins like the obsessed fangirl she is*

Why so selective about the characters in each game? FE 7 is just called Fire Emblem here in North America.
And, on top of all that, DON'T YOU DARE TAKE MY IKE!!!!! HE IS GOING TO BE MY BEST FRIEND!!!!!!!! HE WILL DESTROY MY ENEMIES!!!!!!!! After I started that rant, I realized it might be considered gay to say don't you dare take my Ike, so I had to come up with some stupid reason for not taking Ike, to be truthful, he's just my favorite character to play as in all the Fire Emblem Games that I've played.
I just finished number 9 today(that ending made it seem like the sequel would have Ike marrying Elincia, when that didn't happen, I was a little disappointed), and watched the credits for #10(those credits made me sad). Who are your top 5 Fire Emblem characters? With all this semi-random talking about Fire Emblem, should this conversation move to another board?
I've also played and beaten the remake of the FE with Marth for the DS (Shadow Dragon)

*Cries because yet another person has played Shadow Dragon and taunts her with it* I haven't played it, but my best friends have, the lucky, lucky people... then again, it IS with Marth, so... The "random characters" from my list are in fact the ones who are my favourites from each game. I wub knights, mages, sword-wielders, and male priests that look like females. Why is it that at least ONE character I like from each game that's a guy looks like a girl? TT.TT Anyways, Ike is awesome, and he's one of the best Lords out of all the games (Ephriam's a chump along with his sister, Eliwood is Eliwood--useless--and Hector and Lynn are pretty good). I remember after I played FE 9, I kept bothering my friend because Ike didn't marry Elincia and it made soooo much sense to my warped mind. She laughed and told me Elincia married Geoffery. I refused to understand. My only complaint with FE 7 was the fact that all my characters were with me for the first half of the game, and then it took forever for them to come back. I started dancing around when Rath returned. Though we probably should move this to another board, I'm fine with leaving it here. After all, an introduction of mine should lead to other conversation *realizes she sounds like a conceited dork* and if it's about Fire Emblem, it's all good in my mind. XD Anyways, my top five FE characters would probably be... Oscar (Personality-wise, he's so sweet and fighting-wise... his high HP was put to no use at the end of the game, his DEF was so high), Soren (Branded. Spoiler!Prince. Wind Mage of Win.), Lucius (He looks like a girl, even though he isn't one AND he's awesome at healing and light spells), Raven (Angsty characters FTW), and Joshua (Carefree prince of a powerful country in disguse?). I have a bad habit of finding one/ two characters from each game and levelling them up extraordinarily quickly, so those characters always end up being my strongest. As much as I liked Ike or Hector, they ended up being too strong with their constant one-hit kills... maybe it's because I don't feel as much satisfaction from hacking/ slashing enemy characters than I do with magic spells... XD

My top 5 and their reasons. 1-)Ike, The best character ever, once you get him, he should get at least 5 kills a battle. 2-)Nephenee, She was the person who maxed the most stats naturally out of any FE game I've ever played, at least in Radiant Dawn, still good in Path of Radiance. 3-)Hector, Second best character ever, kind of like an Ike that started out with axes instead, and my Hector was RNG blessed with unrealistically (for him) high speed. 4-)Lyndis, Coolest animations out of any of the characters on the portable FE games. 5-)Lethe, Lyre, and Ranulf, The cat laguz were my favorite laguz, and these were the three that you got to play as, Lyre at the end of my game had the best stats, and was still a few levels below Ranulf.
In the portable games, I always had everyone at level twenty thanks to my brain and possible abuse of the arenas, In every arena chapter I made over 100,000 gold, even taking into account the losses for the staves that I had to buy in order to keep fighting.
I love the Dark mages, and in Sacred Stones, I turned Ewan into a Dark Mage, he was my best mage. I really liked in that game the introduction of three class tiers. I wish they could've had that done with more people, because Ross was the best berserker I'd ever had. Amelia, Ross, and Ewan deserve special mention out of the best characters in that game for that specific reason.
Sorry for all the rambly-ness.

I dunno... I've never particularly LIKED axe-users (shame on me), so I'd usually stick one of my Cavaliers as my Axe-user. XD I looooooved the dark magic users and the trainees. They were so cute... I mean strong.... and cute. XD Nephenee was also one of my better units. Arena!Abuse is soooo much fun. I kept going back and using my lv. 20 characters simply because I loved 'em too much. XD I'm bad in the sense that I pick favorites and then only work on them, forsaking the rest. Mmmmmm... When I found out about Joshua, I freaked out and screamed "Ah-ha!" And it was cute to pair him up with Natasha. In the first FE game I played, Path of Radiance, I had no clue what supports were and did them with random people. The result was disastrous, but looking back, very funny. Now, thankfully, I've wised up. The supports for Radiant Dawn were depressing, though. Very depressing. 'cept the truth about Soren. THAT was awesome... even if it wasn't really a support. XD

I figured that part out (Soren's branding) after recruiting Sephiran in one of the games. I hadn't used (for actual purposes) supports in either of those games, the best ones to pair up, IMO, have too greatly different movements, and are both too good to be sticking close together, Ike and Marcia. Actually, now that I think about it, Ike and Mia in Radiant Dawn were supports and the best there were, with good movements. I don't like how they removed the special partnering endings from the other games when you get the max support level, and in Path of Radiance, they didn't even have the same kind of Epilogue, that disappointed me.

*Nods* PoR was a let-down in that sense. I was bad and always stuck Soren next to Ike, since their support combo was good. I think I had them at A level in PoR and I had Ike and Mia at C. At least it lead to me getting to learn that Soren is technically the prince of two countries (or the prince and king of a country, to be more accurate, I guess). What a shame... Who would have guessed that Power-Hungry Fool was his father?
